PL8 Error Code 96

Hi Guys

i have recently bought a pl8 and have a couple of 6S Turnigy 5000mah batteries. I was trying to charge them today and i kept getting this error code 96. When going through the manual it says PMW ratio too high. What does this mean and how do i change it? I am using the mpa board and have changed the fma setting to xh/eh.

I am using a Coolice Psu 1150W @ 25V.

Any help would be appreciated.

If this is Safety Code 96 then it is the PWM ratio it is warning about.

This is not something you can change, it is a warning that there is a problem with your current set-up.

I've only heard of a few people reporting that problem and mostly it was a fault on the PL8 which required it to be returned.

It could be a problem with wiring between your PL8 and the PSU, dry joints, connectors too small etc. or it could be a problem with the PSU itself.

If you start swapping out things to locate the fault, do make sure you test at the same voltage as I've seen people reporting the problem only occurring at 24V+ so if for example it works fine on a 12V battery that doesn't mean the PSU is faulty ...

Thanks for the reply guys. I have swapped chargers, psu and boards with a friend of mine who has the same set up. My pl8 displayed the same error with his board and psu and i've also changed connecting cables. I am returning the unit to Fast lads.
