PL8 Fan problem???

this is only the 2nd time using this charger from brand new from fastlads.

ive just went to charge 4 x 6s 5000 batterys using my MPA board. but when i switch it on the 2 fans out the back of the pl8 spin for 2secs then stop. and even when i start charging the fans remain off???? the charger is still charging like it should but dare not use it because im afraid ill fry it!.

typical for this to happen on the first day of my 10 days off work

It's fine, that's just a fan test. If the charger gets warm the fans turn on by them selves. It's fine just go charge.

i use to have the pl8 v1 and im sure the fan use to be on all the time? aw well thats good news

Mine only kick in when needed as they are thermostatically controlled

Yep, they fire up for a second or so at the start, then come on when needed.

Mine only come on intermittently, even when parallel charging my 6S's at a total of 40A
