PL6 charging to 4.1v / cell only ???

    Not 100% sure but i think its only certain materials that become super conductors at freezing temps. In terms of lipos i did wonder if once flying with them they will warm up then charge them up before they get too cool.

    Another bright idea i had was the generator... theres a lovely hot exhaust on it.. like a radiator.. if you could transfer that heat to a box that would keep whatever you want warm :-)

      Althother thouhht i did have which is specific to my charging box, is since theres a PSU in the bottom of it that also warms up if i put a cover over the tote bag if that would warm up too.

        so does this mean charging to 4.1v on the PL8 is ok and better than charging to 4.2v?

            Depends on the weather, hot weather = full charge; cold weather = slightly less full charge. As it has been discussed that a lipo performs best on a warm/hot weather, thats why other guys prefer to fly nitro during winter because you could lean out the engine for maximum performance plus a bit of added flight time.
