    Hey.

    Just to add a shameless plug, with my PSU's I can raise their output voltage to 13 volts (even a bit more if need be) so 3 in series could be configured to give 40 volts

      Ah ok I never realised that, Pretty big oversight by the powerlab people on that then. I just assumed it was possible due to the iChargers not having it as an issue. I know the 4010DUO can take up to 50v though that's actually a bad idea in my opinion if only charging 6s/7s packs as it means it's going to be constantly stepping the voltage down quite a bit.

        Yes, it has always been a somewhat odd choice.

        They gave it a 1300W rating but a 40A current limit, so you could only hit it with 32V which is also the max voltage limit.

        So few people ever really drove a PL8 to the limit.

        With the new unit at 36V with 40V maximum it is going to be easier to get there.

          I wouldn't worry, 36V is going to be plenty now.

          On the other hand, if you can turn them down to 10V each and deliver at least 40A you'd have a good solution for anyone trying to max out a PL8 ...
