New to a PL8 storage charge question

Simple question for you PL8 experts;
I'm thoroughly happy with balance charging, but what / how do I set the PL8 to put my 5200mAh 6S lipo's into storage condition (broke my heli....) and what should I set any parameters to? As I broke my heli on the first pack all my packs are fully charged at the moment.

Find a storage mode preset, set charge rate to 5.3 amps for 5300 pack, set discharge rate to max (10 amp). If you parallel charge, set number of packs when asked by PL

Don't be surprised when the discharge rate doesn't get close to 10A, the internal load limit is 100W so you will not see more than 4A or so when discharging a 6S pack.

If you have a partially charged 12V car battery around you can go faster using that for a regenerative discharge.

If you want to borrow them James (5 of 6 in case I need to power up anything), no probs. Just got notification that CC have dispatched the Talon90 and spares, and I still have to order the reamining, so I certainly won't be flying this weekend possibly next one as well.

It should store them at 3.85v per cell. Worth checking when it is finished that that is what it has done. Dont have a PL8, but on the ichargers it shows you that it will charge/discharge to 3.85v

Yes, it's part of the preset. As mentioned, you may not get full 10A discharge, depends on the pack. It's quite slow, but better than keeping packs charged. Regenerative discharge is a good option, but I've never tried it.

Well, afaik (it's been a while since I messed up with PL8, I just use presets I've made), every preset can charge/discharge to a given voltage. The easiest way to set this is to use PC interface. Factory storage preset is "intelligent", it will charge or discharge as needed.
