  • PL8 and Fusion 600 watt PSU

I want to charge 6X 2600 mah 6S 22 volt packs at the same time but it takes forever for me to charge them over 2 hours, surely my PSU can give enough juice to the charger to charge the packs packs faster than 2 hours plus, I set it to 1C and let charger work out what to do but it don't sound right to me. Should be faster than that surely?

Ah B%$^&£X that's where I am going wrong, I have never seen it go over 10 amps (-:

Any ideas on what kind of time it should take to charge the packs if I get it right?

        Thx/all for your help

It should manage in an hour. Just make sure your max amp draw on the pl8 is set right so it doesn't overload the PSU.

Do I set that to 40 amps or do I set it below that figure so that PDU don't struggle and overheat?

If you bought a pl8, now buy a decent psu, at least 1000w and get full benefit from it. Otherwise may have saved some money and bought pl6 unless you won't to charge 7or 8 cells

Its up to you at the end of the day, 90% is about right for switch mode psu's like the ones most people are using. At least in my experience.

I got the bad boy for £150 delivered incl 7 charge boards, plus the EC5 leads to go with them and some deans connector leads plus the pc adaptor (Which I lost) and some other little boards that I have no idea what they are for and some crocodile leads for connecting to batterys so I just couldn't refuse a bargain even if I don't push it anywhere near it's limits (-:
