Isn't that true for almost everything in life though?

The RX packs have the servo type plugs pre-fitted plus a blank lead for charging plug to be attached, all other packs need soldering for your connector choice.

Direct power is the way for me.

Not used an external bec since a cremations went pop on me even though I would happily use a Hercules just easier to plug straight in to the vbar.

So more expensive than turnigies and i have to still provide my own connectors?
I guess to most, it's a good thing...we all use different connectors.

I normally change them anyway. They are going to be more expensive, they are much better packs.

You wouldn't expect a 700 and a Srimok to be the same price would you?

Trust me its worth fitting your own connectors.
I have had mine (bought by me ) about 3 weeks now and they are fab, very easy to charge / use .

I have a 6s 5000 for my 550 and its way better than my nano techs. I also have a pair of 2700s for my 500efl. So happy with them that Im going to get a few more 3000 and 5000 packs. Big thumbs up to Andy (Optifuel/power) who replied to an email about 10 min after I sent it. Great packs with great support, its a winning combination in my book

No. Lots of things will be worse until they get better. Perhaps I should have said it's good today and will be even better tomorrow, and amazing every other day after that. Better batteries, motors, rx, tx computers, fpv scanners with vertual reality. Bigger helis with affordable batteries that last longer and are affordable.

You just like to moan I think

So having to spend another £2 max is a problem lol

Don't you have a stock of your preferred connectors?

It's only budget packs and FP's as far as I'm aware that have them already on. Batts never used to come with them on before which is useful as so many use different ones and it only been recently IMO that people are switching to EC5's on bigger batts.

Plus on turnigy packs, do you not tend to take the connectors off, just to check them really, as too many times I have seen threads in here of completely in soldered joins, that don't have a drop off solder on them, the only way to check the security is to cut them off and put some back on, even if they are the same type

My next packs will be optipower without a doubt.

Turnigy packs come with XT60's fitted - not much use to me as I use EC5's, on the other hand Flightpower packs come with EC5's already fitted, but they can take a long time to arrive. On balance I'm more than happy to fit my own EC5's and not be stuck with whatever the manufacturer fits plus I'll know it's been soldered on correctly.

i have 2 x Optipower 6S 5000 mAh for my 550 and they have been excellent. they charge/discharge evenly, balance well and give good even power. this is more than i can say for my Turnigy 6S 5000's.....out of the 8 i bought i've had to throw 2 away and another 2 have cell imbalance after each flight (so taking forever to balance charge). the only advantage of the Turnigy is the cost (less than half the Optipower) but if your throwing the Turnigys away (not to mention - expensive postage, possible import duty and not been able to return faulty packs) than it soon evens out.....i'll be buying more Optipower in the future for sure.

also, despite the shape difference.... i have had no problems with CoG on my 550.
