Opti Ultraguard 430 and LiFe / LiPo

Just want to see what's the latest on running the Opti guard on a system powered directly by a 2s LiPo or LiFe pack. I had a look at the website and it says something to the effect that use with LiFe is being looked into (and it says in the FAQ about it being OK but just that it may trigger when the voltage drops etc.)

I just started using one on a heli that I'm running all HV servos and powering everything directly with a 2s LiPo and I'd also like the option of running it on LiFe packs.

Yesterday when running an Opti 2150mah 2s pack sometimes the Ultraguard would come on and I'd see the flashing LED and then it would stop flashing and go to just on solid but not nearly as bright. I think the little red LED was flashing sometimes as well indicating it's charging.

Soooooooo, is there an updated version that will intelligently respond only when an abnormal voltage drop occurs? Or should I take it to indicate my 2S LiPo is not delivering consistent enough voltage?

I have not yet hooked up a meter to see how much voltage drop I can see on the bench. It certainly worked fine and I only did a few flights and the cells were reading right at 4 volts still (this is the 2150mah RX pack I'm talking about, not the small pack on the UG).

I emailed Andy recently and he mentioned that he's awaiting a new device to flash the chips. He said about 2-3 weeks ago to contact him in a fortnight so I'd give him a holla. Just a simple case of arranging it with him and posted it out to have the new firmware uploaded. Not sure on costs though, just postage I'd presume.
