Optipower 6S 5000 30c pack PROBLEM

I Flew my e700 at weekend, flight was fine. upon getting home started putting packs to storage.
I noticed my pl8 was on safety charge, inspected packed and found cell 4 on one was swollen. and was way out from all the other 5 cell. the pack is not been used much and not over discharged my packs normally come down 30% ish

My question is can you buy replaced cell or is battery ready for bin, or would maybe optipower repair the pack.
anyone else had this dilemma.

I had the same mate with a 3500 6s, cell 5 down to 0 and the others on 30% after a flight, I've emailed Andy @ opti and they come with a 12 month warranty and a 50% off crash warranty, I'm taking mine to 3d champs at the weekend for him to look at and swap if faulty.

I've just had cell 3 on one of my opti 5000 6s packs go. Andy and Lee are in the process of sorting it out for me. They've given me 50% off a new pack.

Yes mate, met Andy at 3d champs and he tested it and yes it was faulty, swapped it there and then FOC. Fare play to him and his customer service

How long does the 50% crash deal last for? It was in a small crash recently (fell of my van).

Had dealings twice with Andrew at Opti due to pack faults.
Both times sent the packs back for testing, and both were sorted quickly by Optipower with replacements arriving back within a couple of days.
I have to say, due to the nature of LiPo packs, the likelyhood is you will get a few failures, but the customer service provided by Andrew and his team will ensure any new packs I buy will definitely be Optipower ones.

Good on you for your honesty, but personally I would not consider that crash damage. You can only ask, even if the answer is no.

I've had an opti 5000 cell die on me too, unfortunately, it was 2 weeks after buying them s/h, so no come back . Bloke had a log on all his packs, so I know they were only 24 flights old when it went. Very annoying, but that's life!!

So what carrier are you using to send batteries back? ParcelForce is a no no, TNT and Fedex only for business customers. Struggling to find anyone near me.
