cell number 4 irregularity.

Hi all

just charged one of my new packs up and it was charging fine but then the charger switched to safety cut off due to cell number 4 being to high voltage wise. Is this sometimes the norm for new packs ? I then checked it on my checker and it is saying its 99% charged so now i am not sure what to do ? do i

1- do a storage disharge

2- or just fly the pack down to say 50%

then commence another charge but at a low amperage to bring the cells all back into line

all help on this matter greatly appreciated

I never had that with a new or used pack.I would do a balance only on it if your charger support it. Be sure you keep one eye on it.

Whats it saying the voltages are for all the cells on your checker??

And what charger is it? Was it doing a balance charge?

Using a thunder power 610c ac/dc using balance board ! Checker is saying cells 1,2,3,5,6 between 4.10 to 4.20 and cell 4 is saying 4.29 ! Seems all a bit strange !!!!!

4.29 is a bad voltage to be at, That is potentially waiting to go up. If i were you I would keep that outside while your deciding what to do with it!

do you know anybody with a cellpro charger ? that may sort it out.
