      I shot my last damaged lipo with my air rifle. It was about 1/2 charged at the time. Have to admit, was rather surprised / disappointed with the abuse that it took. LIPO got very hot, but no flames or any spectacular explosion.

      Next time, will be the large nail and hammer technique!

          Usually unsolder mine and make up new packs with the good cells from dead packs (yes I am very tight). Chucked a couple of cells in a fire, can't tell you how disappointing it was.

            I certainly think it's worth removing the wires from a dead lipo.
            You never know when a few inches of heavy duty cable is going to come in handy; adaptors etc.

              I have 4 packs sat in a solution of dishwasher salt in an old 4 litre ice cream tub.
              Bubbling away nicely with a load of snotty looking substance sat on top the water.
