Chris, Which packs have you ordered? Are you getting one for the 500? I can see a 30C and a 40c in 2650 size and a 2600 in the 50C nano.

It's the one in my invoice above posted for the joker who thought I would take a freebie for some promotion in return.Originally posted by Andy from Sandy View PostChris, Which packs have you ordered? I'll save anyone else the bother of typing by confirming that I too am un-sponsored and intend to stay that way so there is never any suspicion of an ulterior motive behind any comment I might make.
Fortunately I'm in little danger of being deluged with eager sponsors, but those who know me will no doubt derive some amusement from the fact that I have turned down one offer in the past year
(unrelated to anyone in the Lipo market).
I was sold on FlightPower packs the moment I put the first one through a couple of cycles on the PL8, the extremely well matched low IR and consistency of cell voltage under load was what did it for me.
The amount of information Julian has released about these Nano packs has helped me understand why they do what they do, but even without that the results spoke for themselves.

Chris, I am no stick banger but I have seen a couple of your videos! Is the 30C going to be enough based on the continuous current draw of 75A capable by the 500MX motor? I do have a logger that I can have a go at the weekend with and see how much current I can get mine to pull.
Maybe a question for Julian on how these things really work out.

Thank you.Originally posted by FlightPower View PostAndy - I would put the 30C Nano forward as a light weight setup best suited to F3C style. For big air or stick banging you may as well go up a gear to the 40C, it will pay off in terms of punch.
I am looking for a pack that weighs around 430 grams of 2600mAh to 3000mAh 6S. Unfortunately it is only in the 50C nano range that you have a suitable pack. There is a suitable pack in the 30 and 40 evo-pro range. I was just not sure if the 30C 2650 is the right pack for a motor that potentially can draw a continuous 75A with peaks over 100. I realise if I just fly around I won't draw more than 20Amps.

I am going to replace my lipo stock and want to try different ones.
TDR with 4530-540LE motor (may replace it for a smaller one, but let's assume I keep it), I am not a stick banger, sports flyer slowly transitioning to 3D, which packs would you recommend? I was thinking about 4000mAh ones, 50C, not sure if they make sense for me at my stage of flying.Michal

On a positive note, a friend of mine ordered 2 6cell 3300mah batts on the 8th of this month and they arrived today packed well and all in good condition with no tax or vat.
Myself I have 2 30c 5000mah nano fp packs that have around 65 or so cycles with no puffing or any change in performance. IR reading is still around 2.5 ish on all cells and still getting same flight time as I did when I first used them properly. I also have 2 5000mah 50c packs that have around 15 cycles with no probs. and the same for my opti packs. I share all these between my 550 and 700 with no noticeable differance between all at the moment.
So my 30c packs are coming up to around a pound a flight (plus charging costs but the other half pays the leccy bill.
). And it keeps getting cheaper.

One of the big advantages of the Nanotechnology products is to cram more power into smaller sizes and weights. In the simplest terms the nano size components boils down to more reactive lithium ions and less carbon substrate per Kg. If you can get 50C under your weight limit then I would say that was a result.Originally posted by Andy from Sandy View PostThank you.
