Charging Batteries using the discharge leads or just balance leads?

I have been charging my 2100 revo's through the balancing leads only, on my 10s.
Is there any advantage to charging through the discharge leads?
always wondered this and never got around to asking so here goes

It will allow you to charge at over 4A, and it will give you the individual cell internal resistances, giving you a good idea of the "health" of the pack it will also stop you charging wrongly connected 6s packs

Just out of interest, what is a normal resistance on a 2200 pack, I noticed that extra screen and wondered ?

It depends on temperature very much and how good the pack is. 5 milliohms is about the mark for Tipples measured on discharge at about 20 Centigrade using a Wane Giles meter, but the chargers tend to give a lower figure of about half. The best thing to check is if the cells give different readings. Usually it's only one cell that starts to die. I'd be concerned if one cell was twice the lowest, but it depends on your setup and how you fly and how cold it is. Lipos don't perform as well in the cold.
