You will have to put a inline voltage dropper on every servo that is not 6v I had to do the same on my raptor.
Think they are about £5 from fast lads.

I have never bothered, when I was using 1 of these, even when I used 9254's and the likes. Never had a problem. Most 4cell battery's are over 6 volt when fully charged. So 5.8 sedums good to me.

I assume its this one? If it is I don't think you need to do anything if you are using a 2 cel 7.4v Lipo. I have used this on my S9254 and its been fine.

Hi Sean. The usual advice is to check the specs of the particular servos you are using. When I had a 9254 on the tail I used a step down for that but left all the other servos on 6v.

Everyone at my club runs 6v for cyclics and steps tail down. as does most the pros

It completely depends on the specs of the servos you use.
Futaba "generally" don't like 6v, especially the 9254 - and I have seen them burn out if used that way. Www.servosatabase.com should help you find out the specs of each servo you use and if it states 4.8v only you'll need a step-down on it.

I use ds610. Remember they are always gonna under rate the voltage to aave on warrentys. alan szabo runs 6v and look how he punishes the heli. its up to you

I don't think so. I suspect most of the pros have gone HV and run all the servos from a 2S lipo. Either that or they use servos that can run on 6 volts like most if not all of the brushless servos.

just run 5.8 supply on servos should be ok but check servos first and drop the tail I use this spektrum regulator which drops to 5.2 and runs fine
