Hi, and apologies if this has been asked before. I currently use the above for my 450l domintor, and get 8 mins approximately flight time, doing circuits loops etc, still have 30%+ when I check them. Is there an alternative Lipo out there that would be comparable? Size/ cost wise...

I get 8 out of mine aswell. Sport flying + lower HS

Glad it's not just me. Had to show someone the other week as they didn't believe me.

I am curious if you can find any Gens Ace packs that will fit. I looked into getting some when I bought my 450L last year, but both their 1200 and 1400 mAh packs were too wide to fit between the frames.

I am, however, perfectly happy with the Align 1450s ;-)

The gens ace 1200 does fit easy

the gens ace 1450 is a completely different shape to the 1400 - so be aware of that, one is longer and slimmer height wise (the 1450) and the other is is shorter and more 'square' in cross section (the 1400) which is almost identical in shape as the optipower ultra 1400.

The flight times that you will be getting will very much depend on your headspeed, and its a law of deminishing returns... I reckon for each 10% extra headspeed you run you lose 20% of your flight time.

On my Forza 450Ex I can get a good 7 minutes of gentle sport flying, compared with 3 mins 20 of 3D both down to about 25% on the packs. It does go like a gnats arse at the high headspeed though

I don't Think GensAce 1450mAh fit on the 450L but 1250mAh will definitely fit! You do need to put them far forward on the tray however for the best COG. I have also tried the Opti 1400's and they are to wide I think.

We are on holiday this weekend so will have to try maybe next weekend... I have tried Don's Opti 1400'S and they don't fit, so I don't THINK it would work because they were to wide!
