  • Does anyone split larger packs when you get a lazy cell?

Reason I ask is I got a used 6s unit which has 2 cells which won't reach 4.2v.
Seems I have 4 good ones, never split one before, is it easy, difficult dangerous or just a waste of time?

I've done it heaps - but most say "ooohhh the world will end "

Depends on how used you are of dealing with things that can "bite" shall we say !

You will need a good iron and a steady hand though.

I've done it loads too. Mixed cells from Loongmax and Turnigy, made 5 cell dynatron packs from bad 6s packs. Allsorts really. You need a good iron as has been said and don't forget said iron will make a nice contact between cell tabs so organise yourself!
