  • Fusion PS600 PSU - why adjustable

i've been looking at this PSU and noted that it has adjustable outputs :

    Volts : 5 - 15V
    Amps : 0 - 40A

is there a set/optimum voltage to use to charge our packs with or is this set voltage dependant on the pack, e.g., 11.1V pack compared to a 22.2V pack

when would i adjust the amps on the PSU ? would i calculate what amps i require to charge my packs, e.g. 6 x 3000mAh at 1C would be 18amps and then set that

does anyone have the PSU and recommend it ?

I hope I'm not one of those 3 or four people dominating every thread!

You should set the voltage at the maximum your charger will accept, that will reduce the current required. Always try to keep current as low as possible.

The voltage converter in the charger will boost or drop the input voltage as required fairly efficiently.

You could either set the current at the chargers max rated current, or set it to the max of 40A, the charger should have a fuse that will blow if its rated input current should be exceeded.

I know you were talking about HG. I am a member there too, but I haven't posted much on there recently. Now you mention it, you are right its the same people dominating every thread, kind of put me off a bit too. Also I have been playing with my fixed wing models more lately.
