I used to use a 3600 mAh NiMh in my 90 until recently.

Have now gone for a 3000 mAh Flight Power LiPo with a 5.1V regulator, and it lasts for about 4 mobths between charges!

Definately go for the Lipo and Regulator, you will never be able to afford it when you get married

I hope they are all right as I have just bought one, £17 from overlander. I was getting 4/5 flights btween charges on my 2200mah pack so i'm hoping to extend this to 6/7.
How many flights are you guys getting between charges on the lipo packs?

One thing is for sure, you don't need as big a pack for LiPo as you do for NiMh.

i.e. my 3000 mAh LiPo pack lasts miles longer than my old 3600 mAh NiMh pack.

Because I'm new to this LiPo stuff, I've been treating them in a similar fashion to my non-LiPo packs, and always going to the field with them fully charged, but I'm starting to realise that this is probably over-kill on my part. I've had 2 full flights with my Vibe today, and I'm not going to recharge the pack before I fly again out of curiosity - it was fully charged at the start of play today. I've got one of these - http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/cg...RB8077#aRB8077 LiPo battery checkers which is now reading at 75% capacity, so will fly the heli again next weekend without any further charging, and monitor it after each flight to see how things go.

                Should be interesting.
