I would be quite shocked if my cells were reading that much difference after a charge... and charging for 2 hours

Have you checked the voltages after a flight on each of the cells?

Do you know some one with a better quality charger and try that because those turnigy chargers are only 20 odd pounds new and I doubt they balance things very accurately, Fleabay is full of them for £22

        2164 back into a 2200 pack?

        Something is very wrong somewhere

Definately try them on a better quality charger if you can, but if not it looks like you've got 2 weak cells and if that last charge is accurate I think we can guess why they are weak

The problem with a cheap charger is the balance circuit isnt going to be to good, Some thing a little further up the quality scale would look after the investment you have made in batteries,
Some thing like this might be better for you Fast Lad Performance
I like the hyperion gear as they have been making chargers and batts right from the start, Maybe some of the more experianced leccy flyers might have better suggestions for you,
There is the 80% rule with batts, You shouldnt be taking more than 80% from them if you run one for so many mins then charge see what it takes if it less than 80% charge it up fly a little longer then charge again untill you find the time right for the pack to just take the 80%

I bought one of these http://www.giantcod.co.uk/icharger-1...-p-404527.html
It is 250w so very good I charge 6s in about 1 hour. I had a IMAX 6s charger which was doing the same as yours timed out after 120 mins. 1st charge on the new charger 60 mins

If you are after a charger just for 3s or 4s.. I cannot recommend the Cellpro 4s Highly enough.

It charges the cells individually through the balance port, and at a glance you can see what each cell is voltage wise from beginning to end. I think it is well priced aswell now.

Think it will also provide longevity of the pack, as it cannot overcharge a cell like some other chargers can do.

Now that Icharger looks very good Im in the market for a few chargers already have two 20a power packs might consider 4 of those instead of hyperions

May sound a daft question but how do you know when your battries are flat? Do you simply wait for the head speed to fall low then land or have you a timer set to inform you when to land?
I fly two 450 size machines regularly and neither will fly for much more than 4.5 minutes on 2200 packs, and expect to be putting around 1600mah ish back into them, any more discharge than that and your going to risk damaging your cell's.

i set the timer on my dx7 to 5.30 mins & land as soon as i can.. i guess 5.30 mins could be a bit too long then.?

i would have thought 30c batts would have done 5.30 mins easy when not pushing them with hard 3d flying.? they are cold when i take them off. they dont even get warm unlike my old 20c ones..

i will have to look into getting a better charger after christmas or might even put one down on my list of wanted things for xmas from the kids LOL..

thanks again guys for your info.

My understanding is the C rating is how much power the battery can supply not the amount of time you get. The size of the battery eg 2200 will determine the flying time
