Lipo in Series Trex 500

Hi

About 8 weeks ago I ordered a load of 2200 20C lipos for my Trex 450 which never showed up so i put it down to losing them in customs/postal system. I put it behind me and ordered a few more from the UK (which I should have done in the first place)

In the meantime I sold my 450 a couple of days ago and purchased a 500. Today the lipos turned up in the post, could I use these in series on the 500?

Do I just need the series harness from the lms?

Yep you can use them in series but you won't get the same power as you would from a straight 6S. Just use a series y connector

I've got 8 of the 3 cell 2200 that I use on my 500 and work fine get about 4 mins flight time, just remember to take the y conector when going flying ad forgot mine a few times

got a few 6 cells so not to bad

I use 2 x 2200 mAh turnigys for the 500 with the y connector, no problems so far
Ive set timer to 4:30 with sport flying, there around the 20% mark when ive finished.

Cheers guys - I need to buy a few good 6c batteries but I may as well use these until they arrive.

Not 100% sure what sort of price you are looking at for batterys but for me its turnigy / zippy batterys all the way from hobbyking, very good but very cheap even with ems shipping (3/5 days delivery).

All my batts except 1 is from HK, got a flightpower 25c 3 cell for my 450 and even after less cycles than the turnigy ones its lost its power, ive got 3 6cell for the 500 and 8 3cell for the 450 in different mah and c ratings most people i know have loads of these batts is various sizes from HK and all say there great batts fior the price.

I am not connected to HK in anyway at all, but i like to share tips on saving money as the hobby is expensive enough without spending loads of money on suposesedly (crap speller) better batts with a sparkley name that you recognize for 3/4 times the price.
