  • Charger for two 5000mah 6s packs

Recent purchase of a 700e means my Cellpro 10s is not able to cope (very pleased with it for 10s thou).

    I am considering these :

    Fusion L702B Pro Emperor
    Hyperion EOS 0615i DUO3

    Any experience/opions on these ?

    Thanks

    Nigel

Been using the Hyperion Duo to charge my 700E 6S packs for many months, excellent is the only word for it!

Charger does not get at all hot although you will need a decent PSU!

Sadly my 700 has now gone but the charger is so good I wouldent change it.

        Which PSU do you use?

I use a Fusion 600W which also stays cool even when powering the charger on 2 x 6S Lipo's, no this set up isn't cheap but it should be a one off purchase and with a 700E you need a few sets of bty's so quick efficient charging is essential!

I loved my 700E but found I was too timid to do much beyond gentle flying about, since I downsized I'm back to thrashing my old heli's without the fear factor of enormous repair bills!

            Thanks John.

I nearly bought this, but being new to all this could not justify the cost, or understand why I would need to spend the amount. Part of me now wishes I had.

Have you had your PSU long?

The reason I ask is because my shop reccomended PSU lasted just over two weeks, it's replacement had the front panel pushed in at the bottom by at least 12mm. The 3rd one ... time will tell. It's a Logic Fusion aswell.

Had this PSU for a month or so the previous one also a Fusion but a smaller version actually burnt out I think it was unable to cope with the current drain!

I used the logic that I would have just one heli 700E and get the best gear to run it with, a brilliant machine with Turbo power but expensive to run if you get it wrong!

My first one suddenly stopped working. The LCD screen would still light up but it had stopped showing 13.8 V on the top part of the screen. Plus there was a strange smell. I was balance charging 4 x 3s 1000mah batteries at 1.0A at the time.

If it packs up again I may well end up buying the Fusion 600W.
