  • Battery disposal question.

I've got a few knackered 3S lipos which I'm going to soak in salt solution before disposing of them. Is there any reason why I can't put more than one of them in the same container of solution at the same time?

Good question? so how does the salt water kill the lipo?

I think it's supposed to discharge them very very slowly by making the water slightly conductive.

And could I do more than one at a time using this technique?

You can place as many lipo's in one container as you want, and the salt just makes the water more conductive.

                    Battery disposal question.

We destroyed one ages ago when we did not know any better using a high powered air rifle and all it did was smoke furiously.

No bang, no explosion not even a pop

Was in the middle of field out of harms way and only 2 of us there before the safety climb all over me.

I have to say that destroying lipo's using the nail method is much quicker and much much more fun

I killed a 6s in brine a couple of weeks ago.

                            It didn't half fizz!

The salt acted as a conductor and changed into a Browish/Greenish sludge.

                            Great fun.
