  • One cell refuses to discharge

This is the second time it has happened in just a few days.

I have one cell on a lipo that comes off the helli at 4.2v.

The first was on a 3S, but the latest is on a 6S.

Why is this happening? I am assuming that the batteries are gone because they are effectively acting like they have a cell less and charging is impossible because the 4.2v cell will overcharge.

This is really hacking me off. Niether battery has more than a few flights on it, indeed one of them is brand new.

This is why I would not consider an electric over 500 size. The 6S has cost me about £20 per flight in the 500.

Is there anything I can do to rectify it?

What packs are they? Where have you got them from? I hear this happening sometimes from hobbyking, with the turnigys and the flightmax, but if you email them, they are normally pretty good and will either refund you or send you a new pack out

The 6s one is a Loong Max Tipple from Giant Cod and the 3s is a cheap one from Hong Kong via ebay.

If you knowfor certain you have not overcharged them, or taken the voltage below the safe level, then email giant cod, they may wish for the pack to be sent back to them bit are pretty sound guys when I have emailed them before, sounds like it's duff packs and you've just been unlucky, this is just my opinion though and can't say for certain.
