  • Anyone used a 4 channel charger?

Has anyone got themselves one of these (or similar) 4 channel chargers?

    Inwood Models : LIPRO QUAD 6 BALANCER CHARGER [FCH005] - £109.99

Looks like it contains 4 normal chargers but in one box. Does anyone have any feedback on if they are any good?

I have a Bantam BC8 that appears to be misbehaving. I was originally looking at a Cellpro 10s as they are good, proven chargers but I could only charge 1 x 6s and 1 x 3s at a time. With the 4 channel charger, I could do 4 lipos at a time (albeit at slightly less than 1c for the 6s lipos).

Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks,
    Lee

I use one of these and find it perfectly adequate.
On the +side it is 4x lipro plus chargers in parallel, on the -side it is limited to 50Watts per charger, but in realitythat is fine by me

Since I have 6x3S and 4x6S packs this charger is a great solution and I am very happy with it.

Anyone used a 4 channel charger?

When you do the 4x6s packs, what's the highest amps you can charge at?

      Very interested in this.

It's 50 watts per port so max charging will be about 2 amps for a 6s pack.

I have one oh these from Inwoods and it as absolutly brilliant bit of kit for the money - within the limitations of 50w per channel. This is limiting on Lipos for the Trex 500, but I have other chargers for those..... my G5 6s are 1300, so I can do 4 at a time on this, and it is great for my 3s packs for the Trex 250SE and my fixed wingers.

I too have a Bantam BC8 - top quality top end charger, not same league as the Groupner, but the BC8 is close to £200 from Sussex, and it should last forever. If you have problems the distributer will fix them, and I have known of another BC8 that was returnrd to them out of warrenty with a problem and they fixed it for free!

My packs are 2200mA so the sums work out well@ 44W/channel.

This one claims 6Amps per port.

That hobbyking one appears to only be 200w total output still though, so if your charging more than one pack, the output will be reduced to each channel. One of the reviews basically says this if read through them. We need a much more powerful charger, like the cellpro 10s, but with individual charging channels.

Looking on Google, the Turnigy looks almost identical in specs to the Lipro. Not sure where the 6Amps comes from...
Whilst searching, it seems there are rumours of a 4 channel, 100 watt per output (400 watt total) charger soon.

For me, a 4 channel at 50 watt per output would be fine...

... Unless I get all excited and buy an Align 550e - but I wouldn't go and do a rash thing like that... would I?
                          Cheers, Lee.

I have 10 of the standard Outrage XP25C (50C burst) 6S1P 1300mAH batteries. I get 8 minute flights and this uses about 70% _ ususlly put back 830-900 mA and never have put back more than 950 (73%).
