  • How long do your Revo Red labels last???

I have 2 for my Logo & each is a 2s+4s to make 6s. They are probably about 15 months old now & have around 100 cycles on one & 130 on the other. They have always been charged on a Cellpro both a 4s & 10s but now they are dying. The 2s packs are fine & ballance perfect still but the 4s packs voltage is all over the place. The cellpro cannot ballance either pack anymore. I cannot fly hard yet & obey the 80% rule. I though these packs went well beyond 150 cycles???

My 2 sets of 5s cells are well over 150 cycles now flying a t-rex 500, still last 9-10 min.

I have onbe red label 2100 3 cell that is 2.5 years old and it behaves the same as two others that are a year younger.

I have two 5S4200 packs that are from December 2008 and are still good for 6mins of 3D in the 500, and I just bought two more preowned that are a bit younger - they are a bit better.

none of the above have any balance issues.

I jad a platinum 3S that had a cell diwe (but after some impact damage).

check the balance leads are not lose - do the voltages add up across the balance lead to match the power lead? Wriggle the balance leads and check. They can be repaired.

I'll have a wiggle, but last time i had trouble with a loose lead the cellpro would not charge at all. It's only just happened that they are all out which just seems odd?? & only on both 4s aswell.

to match the power lead?? I'm not sure what you mean? is this something that requires you to charge with the power lead plugged into the other holes?? i've not made an adaptor for that bit

Trouble with Revos is you are not always getting cells from the same manufacturer, some packs will go on for much longer than others - so if you read a review on a pack and buy one on that basis yuo may find the one you bought is not the same. Lipos for you.

The cells in my 3s2100 red labels are actually the same as the cells in my 5S4200 (which are actually 5s2p built up from 10 cells).

I thought all the revo packs used cells manufacturered for worley-parsons - however different size cells from the same manufacturer can have very different performance and life. Generally larger individual cells don't last as long as smaller ones.

I have a 5s3300 black label that is quite old (it was a cheap 3rd hand purchase and Robgt was caining it when it was new) and it is well down on power compared to my 4200 packs.

No, Worley Parsons actually buy in the cells from various suppliers - these can be sourced by anyone. All they do is solder the packs together after a bit of testing and ship to the retailers.

It's nothing new, almost all brands do this. Very rarely are the packs made by the brand.

                    EDIT:
Kokam/Polyquest are the only 2 I can be sure of that package their own cells.

Thunder Power, Outrage, Flight Power, Revo, Maxpoly, Loong Max, Turnigy, Rhino, Rockamp - all package other manufacturer's cells.
