bit more expensive than the others but you do get what you pay for. They live up to their claims in the lab tests.

Good deals on LiPos are bad deals in the long run, buy a FlightPower or Kokam pack.

Not that much more expensive than others either. Maybe a tenner but you'll get a much longer life out of it

what kinda flight time will i get outta these batterys compared to the Align pack i have with my kit...still around the 10 min time?? do u mean their overall life will last longer

Yeh sorry...their overall life. They're advertised as around 200 cycles but I'm informed that, if treated rightly, the will get over 400.

the lab tests on trex tuning show that certain makes dont hold up as well as maybe they should.

I don't believe any of them any more and IMHO Kokam are no better or worse than the other 2 leading brands just more expensive and no good for a lot of applications because of the over square cell shape.

To be honest if you get 400 cycles out of any Lipo you've done well as in most peoples cases they will kill the pack long before that in a crash or over discharging

I have to say that FlightPower have very good after sales - have always been helpful on the phone and got things sorted.

I recently sent them back an 800mAh Evo 20 with one cell that had swollen a bit, they sent me a new one straight away, I find that reassuring when I plan to spend £200 on a 6S.

Thomas, this happened to me...but after the 4th time of getting a pack replaced it became a joke. Even they got sick of it . Their after sales is great but when the product is so poor then aftersales is all they have.

I would never buy one of their 6s because of my experience.

And Kokam are totally different from all other packs. They have patented technology that the others would love to use.

But I agree with smoothound in that if you don't kill your packs in a crash you're doing well

That's why my 600 has budget Align packs in them. I'e never had an issue with Align packs....other than their natural life is short.

The Align packs are poor at best, i've not really done much more than hovered mine but my pack is always yards out of balance after only a 50% discharge. As you say though as a learning tool they will be fine at around £110 a go rather than £200+ for FP and £270 for Kokam(plus charger plus 6s balance module)

I was happy with the Align pack too, while I was running it in then I gave it a bit of welly and the heli lost all power, but it was cheap and will do me for now.

Had a 3s FP in my Eolo (RIP) since last November and it served me well, also just dug out my original 3S from my old Trex that got hammered in my wing - badly, going to stick it in the new Trex and see how it goes, till I decide what to go for - or just see what Phil is using

Kokam put me off as he spent half an hour telling me how shyte FP were in order to sell his packs
