  • LiPo Calculator for the 80% Rule

    Hi all,
I expect this has been done before but I started my own and finished it (for now)

Hope it is useful for working out flying times

Thanks to phil163 for the tips

    Cheers
    Jack

EDIT: Just gave it a quick tidy up as it was displaying different between Excel on my Mac and works PC.

Great stuff there Jack, well done matey

You've come up with an essential tool for all leccy flyers, and I'm sure it will be well used - I for one have it on my desktop

I'll see if one of the mods will make it into a sticky, and it has to be worth an EGS nomination

    Thanks bud

Nice and simple, well thought out.
Transfered to my Blackberry so I can work out for others at the field.

Just seen this and did not know why I have not done something so simple to use myself.

                Cheers

Nice. I wrote a similar tool myself, no spreadsheet needed, works with most Windows versions. It's one of the tools in HeliPort, called "Battery Calculator" (yeah, sure, what else ).

I have had v 1.7 for quite a while now as I have been using the tacho on it. Didn't even realise it had this function on it - I have just recently setup a quick spreadsheet myself to do the same thing lol - looks like I wont be needing it any more.

                      Great app btw

Yes but one for the anoraks

I've used Jack's calculator for sometime (Thanks Jack!) and found it very useful.
Then this week I put the anorak on and produced a flight/charge log. It uses Jack's formulae but I thought it would be interesting to view trends, compare one pack with another etc and; I was bored!

So here it is for fellow nerds.

The spreadsheet was created in Excel 2007 but I have made it compatible with 2003. The worksheet is protected but can be unprotected to see the formulae.
Next step: Get some data (mine only has 2 entries per pack so far) and make some nice graphs I never thought I would find charging so interesting. (I must get a life soon!)
