I am making a charge case for a pl6 and pl8 which both use the revolectrix mpa board. Does any one know what type of connector is on the ribbon cable so i can find an extension cable?

depends which way you want to extend it....
The end that plugs into a charger is a non RC standard connector - RS components do them.
The end that goes into the balance board is a normal 8S balance connector IIRC which you can easily buy extensions for like this (though you may need to find a uk seller if you want it quickly)

It doesnt really matter which end i extend tbh, its just so the 8s jst should do the job. i think wheelspin models have them. ThanksOxy 2 - Spartan VX1n

Evening mate.
I have a small pcb that I use in my charge case builds to replicate the PL's balance port up onto the deck. As an added bonus there is also a JST-XH connector, allowing the use of the MPA or the cheaper charge/balance boards that are available.
Tomorrow I will post a photo.

Here you go. There is a JST-PA to JST-PA lead going from charger to bottom of this port, then on the top side you have the same JST-PA for the MPA and a 9 pin JST-XH for the usual balance boards. I have the required 9 pin JST-XH male shells to, so you can swap out your favourite balance board leads pins into the 9 pin port to keep the alignment tabs.
Price works out at £14 each + £2 postage in the UK. I have the cutout CAD file for cnc routing into your deck.
