  • LiFe Battery Size For Nitro

I have been putting together a nitro to mess about with over the winter, its seems the simplest way to power the electronics is with a LiFe battery, the Synergy n5 I believe can be a bit nose heavy so I don't won't to put to big a battery in it,so what size battery can I get away with and still get a decent amount of flights.Electronics in heli will be 3xds610,ds650 and Spartan vx1e flybarless. Also what's the best make to buy and where can I get them from.

    Cheers Dave.

I have a 2400 LiFe, rear mounted on my N5 because as you say, they are nose heavy.
New packs are slightly bigger capacity now

As said by Mylee, this: https://www.electricwingman.com/a123...s-battery.aspx

By advised that you cannot check the capacity left in a LiFe like you would a normal lipo, as the discharge is not linear. In other words, it will read 6.6v for most of the discharge, regardless of whether it's used 80% or 20% of it's capacity. Fly three flights, charge it back up and monitor what goes back in and decide by three. This will allow you to safely monitor how many mAh are taken up by one flight which will let you know how many flights you have left from a fully charged pack.

            Hope that makes sense.
