  • what charger?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section lol
Hi all can anyone recommend a good budget ish charger with 240v supply for up to 6s lipos, would be great under 100notes? Ideally it would need to cater for 2,3 and 6s, multi charge would be brilliant but for the money im not expecting miracles lol
Or if anyone has one for sale even better
    Thanks
    Dan

Not the most popular but I've had an old graupner ultramate 16 for a few years now and it's been a sound little charger. It will charge most types of cell and upto 6s balance. It has its own built in psu and you can power it by battery.

Worth a look in my opinion.

        ICharger 106B+

RCFerret : Search for icharger 106b in all your favourite RC stores in one go

have one of these for nearly 5 years, they are excellent for the money (note you will need a psu - should be another £20)

        250watt / 10amp / 2 - 6s

I too have a Graupner Ultramat 16. It will do all that you want but on mains power it will only produce 90 watts so you will be a bit limited with large 6s packs. It does 150 watts if powered by a 12v psu. That's just enough to charge 2 3000 mah 6s packs in parallel at very nearly 1c.

If you want to charge larger batteries and maybe charge a few together then don't look at low power chargers and you have to rule out those with built in power supplies, they are too limited on power especially these days when most LiPos can safely be charged at between 2 and 5c rates.

Best bang for buck at the moment for a charger with a healthy power output, IMHO is the Reaktor from hobbyking: Radio Control Planes, Helicopters, Cars, Boats, FPV and Quadcopters - Hobbyking* 300Watts, 20Amps, and all for £43... nothing can touch it (when in stock!). It's actually electronically the exact same charger as the iCharger 206b but with a different case.

You would need a power supply but you can easily get one that will meet the full demand of the 300W charger but still keep budget balow £100, for instance: Radio Control Planes, Helicopters, Cars, Boats, FPV and Quadcopters - Hobbyking*

Don't need a psu for the PassPort, and same spec if not better than the above,

Good charger, i have one myself and i power it off a xbox psu. Can deliver just 170w but it does the job for now, as i have only 2 6s packs. Paid like £10 for 2 xbox power supplies. If you're going to get one and power it of xbox psu, don't get the 205w one, it cannot be used, get the 175 instead.
