I know I'm not supposed to raise non heli related subjects but I'm a bit stumped and cant find a definitive answer elsewhere.
Long story short I'm restoring an old motorcycle and Ive just brought a new 6 volt battery (with acid in it) and I need to charge it up. My car charger only does 12 volts and I'm loathed to go out and buy a 6 volt charger when I've got a bench full very expensive heli charging equipment which will probably do it.
Any one that know me will tell you that my problem is that I have absolutely zero understanding of electricity and have no idea what settings to put my chargers on, I'm assuming its a "Pb" and should read "6 volts" but what about the A's (amps?) how many of those should I use? And for how long? And what should a volt meter say when its charged?
Please dont say 20 mins for each 10% to 35% of the overall charge for for 15 kilowat hours per newton megabites (like so many other places advise) cause I dont understand that stuff, it has to be simple for me like set charger to Pb, ?? volts , ?? amps for ?? hours and it'll read ?? when its fully charged.
Thanks
