HELP PLEASE! Charging a Turnigy Life 2s receiver pack on a Revolectrix PL6

I've been charging my lipos on my pl6 charger for a while and am quite familiar with it. I have just bought my first life pack and believe I should not charge it on one of the lipo presets. However I cannot find any life cell presets, only lipo, A123 and nimh.

I am probably being stupid but could someone please advise what settings I should use to charge life packs?

I believe A123 is the setting you require if my memory serves me correctly.

No need to worry the A123 setting is the one you need. Take a look at the tech resource on revolectrix look for an article on life packs. Tells you all you need to know

click through the battery types till you find "user preset or user program" then click ok . it will show lipo 3.7 v use the up/down till you find 3.3 and you will see life . click ok and charge your battery!

Still a little confused to be honest! Choose an accurate charge on A123 and adjusted the presets to 2100mahas per the Life pack I am charging and the charge rate at 4.2A, based on other A123 presets being at 2c.

Started charging and the PL6 recognised my Life pack as an A123 and commenced charging, stating fuel start of 23%. Two minutes later it went from 24% to 37% and then charging ended, stating charge complete with 37% charge.

Just checked monitor on pl6 and whilst fuel level is still at 37%, cell voltage is 3.299V, just shy of 3.3V. So is this 2s 2100mah 6.6v Life pack fully charged or a third charged???? Arrggggg!!!!

Think I might have sorted it! I changed the voltage setting in the pl6 to 3.6v as per the recommended peak voltage and it is back charging the pack. I think this is right but if you know better........!!!

I would just use the A123 2C preset mate it will automatically see the size of your pack & charge it . Thats what i do on my 10s & you have far more options on your pl 6/8 charger Dom

3.6V a cell is the end charge voltage. LiFe packs are a bit strange. After charging to 3.6V a cell, the volts drop back to about 3.33V and stay very close to that voltage. Most people don't go by the volts but by how much charge (mah) has been taken out. You don't mention what sort of LiFe pack it is. There are high current and low current (tx) packs.

It's a Turnigy Nano Tech 2100mah 2s 6.6v 30c receiver pack.

I'd charge that at 1 to 2C. It may be possible to charge faster as LiFe last longer than Lipos anyway, if it's really 30C.
