  • Dragonus Pro

Having entered the world of micro's with the Dragonus Pro some week's ago I'm looking to get this thing really wound up in terms of headspeed.

    I've the following on it.

    Thunder Power 2070mah 11.1v
(FlightPower Evolution20 2500mAh 3s1p 11.1V. also in reserve however doesn't fit dohh!!) - Any other suggestions on batteries welcome.
    420LF Align
    Castle Creations 45 speed controller
    13T on the pinion
    -/+ 10 pitch
    GY401 with 9650
    3 x HS65MG's

So I'm gonna put in the 430L next week and see how this feels.

Love the heli....been mucking about in the field next to the house tonight after a day out in northumberland. Very stable, but needs more power to really get it going.

    Any other tips.

I have been flying almost that exact setup with the 12 tooth and 430L 3550kV motor with FP 3s2150 , flies superbly.

I have been using 12 tooth pinion for decent headspeed to get easy 6min flights. It was even more power on 13tooth, but even shorter flight times. I think 13 tooth may have also been the demise of my 1800 packs though, so I am taking it more cautiously on the batts now. The 2150s should be fine on 13 tooth though.

The 420L motor wasn't the best, it has to be said.
The 430L is a decent all round motor, but there are definitely better motors when it comes to holding power through high torque manoeuvres.
A well thought of motor by many people (though not the best motor out there) is the 450TH, which will cope with a lot of stuff.

Make sure you read Ashleys motor supertest pages... essential reading!

For out and out power, get yourself a Medusa motor, on a 4S setup.
            :D
