Forza + beastex

Hi guys. Confession, I'm not one for builds, I prefer bind and fly.
I recently bought a forza 450 ready built complete with an AR7200BX flybarless unit. I have all the programming instructions but I can't make head nor tail of it. There are various options throughout the programming that I don't understand.
Has anyone the same combo as mine that can help me with the set up please ?

I use the ar7200bx and I followed some videos on you tube. They helped a lot in getting to know the setup steps. Once I'm home I will post the links up for you.

Hi Rich, with the exception of the beastex the rest is standard JR as follows:-


JR Forza 450 Airframe
JR Carbon FBL Main Blades
JR 3500KV NHM-30-6P Brushless Motor
JR NHA-50-SB5 ESC
JR DS3500G Digital Tail Servo
3 X JR FBL-DS21 Digital Cyclic Servos

How far have you got with the setup? Or is it a completely new setup?

Also have you bound the Tx to the ar7200bx?

Yes the tx is bound & I've a little way into the programming but !
one has to tell the unit what the swashplate servo frequency is and things like pulse length !! Are they kidding ???
The back of the beastex box boasts that this unit can programmed from your tx with great ease lmao. Yeah if you're Einstein lmao.
Im at a total loss. The jr book says the swash is a 90 degree mechanical yet my radio doesn't even give me that option. I'm lost.

Ok I know where you are now. In the transmitter set the swash type to 1 servo 90 degrees. This should be the default setting anyway. The beastx does all the mixing in the unit so make sure all transmitter mixing is off. Once you get your head around the setup it becomes quite easy but it's getting in your head!

Do you have the AR7200BX manual?

Your cyclic servos are Servo Frequency: 270Hz, Neutral Impulse: 1520ms

Your tail servo is Servo pulse width 1520us, working frequency 333Hz .

Basically set menu point b as blue solid (200Hz), menu point c as blue solid (1520) and menu d as blue flashing (333Hz). Then come out of the setup menu and check all servos work fine. If the tail slider doesn't move with rudder inputs increase the tail gain and then it should move.

Streeker59, theres a bit more to the setup than that, watch a couple of the vids and read the manual at least twice. If all else fails I'm just up the road and happy to give you a hand
