A larger retail version of this machine is available here http://www.firebox.com/index.html?dir=firebox&action=product&pid=992 - It uses the same principle as the micro one (very stable but no aeliron control) - for 60 seems pretty good value :) .

What do you think the box is on the radio. It looks as if this is pointed at the little heli while flying(video clip). Oh yes nearly forgot, want one too.

                  Box

The box is an I.R. transmitter, the normal FM reciever would be to heavy so they opted to use that instead. Have a look at the other videos on that site, they have a bigger one with a horizontal mounted fan at the back to give elevator control (making 3 channels, Throttle, Rudder and Elevator for forward flight) its so damn stable he puts the Tx on the ground and walks up to it and starts poking it!!!!!! (don't think I'll try that one with my Dragonfly) :o
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

                  And a DX8 too

                    Thanks Jamez
Not too bright with electronics, what does the I.R stand for?

                    Duh. Infra-Red is it

                      IR

sorry infra red, that was me just being to lazy to type it (same as your tv remote) thats why he has to keep pointing the Tranny at the heli cause it is line of site (like your tele remote)

Yes it's IR controlled and I presume he is just using a normal Tx for the battery power and Joy Sticks , you can tell because the pilot is carefully pointing the Tx at the model .

                          Mini UAV

What about this for a mini UAV

The Micro UAV weighs just 0.35 ounces and is only 2.8 inches high.
Look at this amazing Micro Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (pictured - click to enlarge). It is currently being developed by the Seiko Epson Corp and was revealed at a Japanese trade show recently. It is being billed as 'the world's lightest and smallest UAV helicopter, the Micro Flying Robot.'

This Micro helicopter UAV fits in the palm of your hand and is designed to carry a micro camera. The applications for such a device are many but include:

'The manufacturer built the device so that it could fly into dangerous areas or areas hit by disasters in place of human beings and see what the situation is. Another example would be for the micro-UAV to fly into a building flattened by an earthquake and see if anyone was trapped inside.'
Cheers

There is bound to be spin-off's which will enhance our hobby. :?:
