I was thinking the same thing....I thought it was maybe just a US name for the Freya Twister, but in actual fact it's abit like the Dyna-X version for a Freya.

I would need to know the back-up service "SPARES".

Skyline are apparently a stockist, but I suspect its more on the carbon frames etc and not yet on the Avant....

I'm going to have to stop looking at those pic's as my credit card is talking to me again. :)

OK here is the low down on the worlds BEST 3D heli :D, and OH YES IT IS :D

It is a conversion kit as stuartn said, like dyna-x. But the changes they made to the geometry are far and beyond what they did with the Dyna-x. Read the blurb on it and it will describe all the changes.

I ordered it direct from CX, as they are still catching up with demand. As for Skyline they will be getting it and the full complement of spares, all spares available from CX themselves also. All the parts are of a VERY high quality, and make the thing rock, there are various videos that show the supreme power of the AVANT. One of which I have but have no way of posting it, large file and my ISDN takes forever to upload it.

CANT wait for mine to arrive, that and my E3 make me a VERY lucky boy :D. Just need the blasted wind to ease up so I can fly.

Should be a few at the 3D Masters in July then - will reserve my judgement untill then.

                      Si,

                      How big is your file...

I have more than enough space...do you have a CD burner. Or if you have time I can give you an FTP account to upload too.

ok I must be going mental, ENTIRELY possible. The vids arent that big, or that great a resolution. But give you an idea.

There is one more vid but cant find the link.

G-Dave, the guys flying it hard are saying it is like a Fury Extreme without the cyclic interation and about 1lb lighter. There are various posts on RR, but all are positive. I like the look of the simple mechanics, and the clean lines. And if it comes to it I will bring mine down and let Dave Fisher wring it out to prove the machine. I fly mode 1 so can just give him the tx, that and I trust him :D.

Oh and the name has changed to Hirobo & AVANT :D Did I provoke that YIPPEEEEE.

                          Nice

                          But it looks expensive......
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

                          And a DX8 too

Its cheaper than buying a fury extreme surely? What people are doing is buying a frya 90, using the bits off the freya needed, then flogging the rest on ebay. Thus making it not too expensive, by comparison to a fury extreme.

Hopefully when they get the stock in Skyline could add the bits to make up a full kit, and come out with a kit price. I think if we ask nicely they might do that. :D I HOPE :D

                              Freya .90 kit = 449.99
Carbonextreme Converison = 310 aprox once converted
I'm led to understand that a few minor bits are needed also from the Freya X-Spec but on the face of it..its reasonably priced for a .90heli.

A Fury Extreme in the UK is 749.99, JR Vigor CR is 939.00, 3DNT is 839.00.
