Gaui x7?

Hi,

is the GAUI X7 any good? I'm toying with the idea of buying one, as I'm getting seriously fed up with Align's combo policy (try to find a barebone kit when you need one).
Haven't done any "research" on the topic yet, just decided to get some electric 700 for the coming season.
Main purpose: abusive 3D :)

Looks cool flies cool but I remember a recent post where it didnt crash well.. see if I can find it for you :)

btw.. Im sure most places will split a kit if you asked them :)

Conversely I've seen that it crashes well, especially as regards main frames.

As with all things, I think how it goes in has more bearing in the end result than the heli in question.

Looks like a really nice heli to me. I would certainly be tempted by one! Especially with the other style "wrap around" canopy.

We had one at the club yesterday and it looked to be very well designed, especially as far as crashworthiness is concerned, the frames are modular so if you break a corner off somewhere you only have to replace that small part. He only flew one shakedown flight but it looked pretty awsome, rock solid through some slow controlled 3D stuff and that was running it at 2000 H/S, if you imagine it at 2700 (which it can go up to) thats going to make it a lively bugger.

I'll do a few more flights this week & post up my thoughts but from what I felt on Sunday after the maiden it left a long term grin on my face & for those of you that have been lucky to have flown the GAUI X5 will know exactly what I mean.

thanks, looks quite likely that I'll get one.
Next question will be, which motor. Setup: probably a V-bar straight from 2s with DMX satellites, Outrage HV servos and Hyperion 6s 5000 x 2.
