Ashley just out of interest, with that setup you've stated- what would be your flightime IF you did'nt do full on 3d??? ie: just a normal aerobatic flight..

6-7mins at a stretch......could probably get more by dropping the pinion down to reduce headspeed.

That ties in what I experienced yesterday- flying my 10s sweet 16 v2-flight times averaged 8 mins !!!- mostly zooming around and loops and rolls thrown in- also included a total of 1 min inverted :D:D- motor pinion is 10 tooth,so should easily get away with an 11 or 12 on the Tango 07 motor, how is it more voltage seems to give longer flightimes?? flight pack is TP 4000.

it's more efficient to run higher voltage, less losses.

Well,if thats the case-would it be possible to nick the gear from my sweet 16 and convert one of my 600E's to 10s setup- it's a bit of a pig on 6s :D:D, got the feeling there's a real heli in there just waiting to burst loose !!!!!

you need a motor capable of running that voltage first. then its just a matter of choosing one withe right KV for the gear ratio your running to give the headspeed you want.

The running gear from the sweet 16 is a 10s setup- the Kontronik Tango 45-07 looks like it will fit-will have to file/adjust to fit and change back to straight cut gear as I'am using helical at the moment- biggest prob being where to put the flight pack?? it's a long shape one,, the other good thing is that I can ditch the rx battery as the 10s setup runs a Quick Ray 90amp s/controller with bec, will the standard parts be ok for that power level???
or should I just wait for the Knight electric to come out and put all the gear in that :D

45-07 might be a tad small to power the 600E

Well, either my eyesight is seriously bad or my tango motor is'nt what it claims to be:confused:- my sweet 16 IS a 50 size heli- in fact it's slighty bigger than the trex 600- used to belong to a certain p.hubble, basically he it stretched from a 30 to a 50 machine-upped the cell count from 8s to 10s usage- as previously stated, average flight times around 8 mins, mostly sports aero's and very limited 3d(as much as my skill levels allow:rolleyes:)- headspeed is'nt in the same league as the 600E- guessing around 1800,but it's enough to allow spirited flying. Gonna spend some time on this one I think, it's cheeper to maintain than the rex and the longer flighttimes will hopefully allow me to develope my skills- aim to compete in maybe clubman 3dx next year:D:D..

I must say this heli is awesome. I think it flys way better than a Logo. As far as packs , I have some Evo -lite 4250's and 5350's to try out. I think with the 4250's I can get around 4 min. of flying and the 5350's around 4 1/2 to 5 min.

The 3700's I was flying in the videos have about 100 cycles on them. So I figure a new set of 3700's should give me around 3 1/2 minutes of flying.

                              Way good flying there Henry.

The heli does look awsome, gonna be some time before I can take adwantage of a heli with only a 3min flight time though, Think I need to get a little more time in on the ic's first.
                              All the best

The tango works well in a swift at 6S for full on 3D but the blades are smaller 520mm-550mm. The 600E needs around 2100-2200 RPM for good performance. The Tango is just a bit too small to give that level of performance for full on 3D. Should work fine for sport flying etc etc but it would never make it round a move like a big ben as an example without bogging down or getting a touch hot. This is why you don't see many Tango powered 600s.
