  • 6hv batteries

Im looking to purchase some batteries for the 6hv shortly, probably 2650mah as I want a light setup. Question is, what c rating should I be looking at?

The only batteries hobbyking has in stock of this size at the moment, is 40c, but is this overkill?

The higher the better mate. The higher you go the less the packs will be stressed, as long as the other specs are the same of the pack.

    Cheers,

Cheers Laurence, just wasn't sure if a 12s setup was as demanding on the packs

12S isn't as demanding, but then again those packs aren't really 40C either :)

              Hey Andy!

Still havent got thr 6hv up and running yet?

You dead right about hv setups not needing as much current. Data logging shows current peeking at around 70 amps so 2650 x the c rating will give you a good idea of what the battery would be able to do. 2650 x 25 =66.25 amps and they can usually burst higher for a short time. Thats the lowest I would go. High c batteries will last longer as they wont get as stressed and your quite an advanced pilot so I would go 30c or higher.

              Later mate
