  • Servo choice for 6hv?

Well I picked up my new 6hv today.

I was originally planning on Putting it together relatively cheap i.e.align ds610 for the cyclic, ds620 or ds650 for the tail and a beast x but now I have it in my hands I think I want to stick better servos in it along with a mini vbar. So looking for some suggestions for servos? I do like the idea of the mks ds760 for the tail or maybe a bls251, not sure for the cyclics though

Got 610's in mine which do the job fine.
    Cheers,

Yep looking at servo specs on fast lad, there aren't many servos that can match the speed and torque of the 610s for the money.

Totally agree, maybe on the 90 sized stuff you could warrant better servo's but then I see so many models at my field being given a beating with 610's fitted and can't remember anyone having a problem. Didn't have much of a budget to get my 6HV in the air so waited till some popped up secondhand. Never seems to be many days where someone is swapping them out of a combo or splitting an airframe.
        Cheers,
        Simon

Well I ended up canceling my order from hk and picking it up form westonuk. I just didn't want any surprises because it would mean it would cost more than buying it from here. I guess buying it from a uk supplier can only be a good thing too if I require any support in the future

              Cyclics
              Outrage 9180
MKS DS760 (James Moon uses these)
              MKS HBL950

              tail
              Outrage 9188
              MKS BL990

But loads still sticking with 610's for value/performance

I used BLS252 on cyclic when I had mine, very precise and center perfect every time (this is where the difference comes in) but cant remember what tail servo. Prob a 254 or something but there is a good choice of tail servos about atm, 254, 9188, 990 etc etc

Would the mks 1210 be suffiecient for cyclic?
                    Long live the flybar.
