Went down to the field today hoping to maiden Sean's (Sealee) newly built 6HV.
By the time I got there he had managed to fry his ESC :(
He is running a seperate 2S LiPo that plugs straight into his AR7100. One thing I noted was that he also had the red lead off the stock ESC rx lead still attached.
I am guessing that due to this, the ESC was subject to ~ 7.4V from the rx pack and also the 6V the BEC on the ESC was putting out.
Sound about right?
If so, is it just a case of cutting the positive lead of the ESC rx lead to disable the BEC?
Cheers
