  • Knight 3D Radio Install.

    Hi folks.

If anyone has any pics of their radio install, would you be so kind to post them for me. Just trying to get some ideas.

    Many thanks.

I don't think I have any pics but I made up a bracket out of ally angle from B+Q that I mounted under the radio tray and split it in 2 so I could get the regulator 1 side and the lipo on the other, worked a treat. I stuck the governor to the frame and the receiver on the radio tray. It's hard to make a nice job of it though.

        My 3D radio install
The blue nose bit is 75g of lead, wrapped in heat shrink
It's extended forward by about 25mm
The battery is then positioned for CoG
The Perfect Regulator has a switch in the lower back corner
This is still reachable with the canopy on

ahahah!!!!!!! .. TBH only reason they are like that are both got cyclocks on them and one has night lights in the wiring loom lol....main one has cyclock and revlock under bottom plate and the rest of the stuff on top ... night flyer has battery/reg and cyclock under bottom plate then night lights and other bits are on top ... Once the canopy is on you cant see it n e way .. plus its easier to take elecs out when I crash ;)

I dont mind lmao ...TBH that was the neatest I could get the install without chopping wires down lmao ....I run pretty big battery packs as well so my CG is spot on which does not leave alot of room lol...

Lee Bates always takes the pee out of my wiring as well though hahah
