Nitro Kestrel SE for begginers?

Well i have one in my fleet, along with a Raptor 50 Titan SE, Trex 250, Blade 400. I have to say, for a small sized nitro heli if properly setup and checked over it runs and flies great.

You have to work the throttle quite a bit more (as its not over powerful), but it handles wind much better than the Blade400.

The engine starts first time, every time and runs as sweet as anything (on 30%)

Parts are cheap, and other than when i binned it, the only thing that has failed was the oneway on the starter shaft (£9).

For a chuck it in the boot of the car, and fly at lunchtimes it great value at just over £200.

Flight times are around 7 mins, so a bit short, but land fuel up and off you go again.

From my experience, i am not sure why so many people have a downer on them.

Just picked up one of these little beuty's for not a lot of quid. I intend to teach my son to fly with it because if it get's trashed it's not the end of the world. The engine seem's to run fine but I have'nt had it in the hover yet so not able to judge it, I intend to get it airbourne this week end so if you're interested I'll keep you posted. On the plus side the build quality looks excellent for the money, I mean come on all that kit for well under the cost of an OS hyper, can't be all bad can it? :)
