  • Giving up the Avro

I have sold my house, fingers crossed, and have too many models, everything is going into storage as I have nowhere to move into. The Avro is going to have to find a new home. I have a lot of new spares including a couple of unpainted canopies.
I will be listing everything after Easter when I have stripped her down to an airframe. In the meantime if you would like to stock up on a few new spares, let me know.
If there had been an electric conversion that seemed to work I definitely would have kept her.

Some spares sold, the rest going on eBay 17th of the 5th.

If it would help in selling it I'd be happy to look after it and post it from London to the buyer. I suppose you can always sell it from over there but I'm just throwing that out as an option. I keep thinking about the idea of having another canopy custom painted but I have a very nice one now and I'm not sure what sort of design I'd do on another one.

Postage from Italy will not only be a nightmare but probably also prohibitively expensive. I'll probably put her on eBay.
My mum tells me you can't even use used jiffy bags in Italy, and all parcels have to have a piece of string around them, even if it doesn't do anything! I'll see how it goes, but thanks for the offer.
I know a lot of people are still put off by the fact that I am not in the UK, if you feel it appropriate, could you add a post to the For Sale thread saying you bought the spares and everything is OK?
Make me an offer on a canopy! I have the same problem as I ditched my Airskipper and I have a white glass canopy I need to get sprayed. I don't like them too fussy but it is hard to come up with something original.

Yeah, I have not had any experience with post there myself but got the idea from things I have seen that it's sometimes problematic for some reason, which is why I mentioned, in case it doesn't sell before you go I don't mind forwarding it from here if it will help (yeah it means postage to here, but it would be as a last resort).

I couldn't find the original parts for sale thread but I'll add a note to the current one.
