Chaps, the Avro recently won the 3D comp at the Scottish nationals, beating several other top 3d pilots and brands.

    Well done dazza!

            Avro

            Hi

I used mine in the Sportsman class last year, and doing the same again this year. This is the lead in to F3C here in the UK.

There where 3 to 4 Avro's in the comps last year, all with different setups, blades, flybar etc, but all performed well. The initial 'bugs' have been ironed out now, and overall it is an excellent machine for F3C type flying. Quality and reliability is first class, as is the service from Blitz Helicopters. They are very smooth and powerful machines, and there is loads of adjustability built in so you can tailor it to your preference or style of flying.

If funds allowed I'd buy another one today :)

I'm using quite a heavy setup, Rotortech 720's(200gms) with Funtech F3C paddles(40gms) plus weights(16gms), and it sits real nice in the hovering manoeuvers but still has plenty of power on the controls and authority during the aerobatics. The UK Nationals winner was using NHP blades (165gms) and cut down NHP paddles (16gms) and that was locked solid in the hovering sections and very smooth and powerful in the aerobatics (aided by a very good pilot).

            Anything else ?

            Regards,

            Sean
