• Missing avro

Just been on Real Raptors website and all reference for Avro parts and kits have disappeared.
As they are the only suppliers in the UK and also the fact that I am an Avro owner this is worrying.
Anyone aware of whats going on.
They also have lots on sale - I hope things are ok there.
Regards
Paul

Hi mate, you can order direct from Blitz. Just give them a call or go to their website.

I noticed that myself this eveing Paul, would be a real shame if this was the begining of the end for Blitz.

Don't think its Blitz that it might be the beggining of the end for, judging by the current discounts available from Real Raptors....

I spoke to Blitz today about real Raptors and they told me from now on all kits and spares should be ordered directly from them. They obviously would not comment on their relationship with Real Raptors and left me to come to my own conclusion.
They did ask me to email them my email address so they could keep in touch with me on any new promotions or new helis.
This is fine by me, I was worried that I may be stuck with a heli with no spares availability.
I hope this information helps other Avro owners - this is by far my favorite machine to fly at the moment.
Regards

From what I have been told the Align models are so popular they are selling themselves. The niche models take some selling and so it is easier to just go with the flow. You may find any business from time to time just converting stock to cash to get things moving, clear out the least popular stuff and re-stock with what the market wants.

I may be speaking out of turn and don't have any particular inside information but I believe Andy at Real Raptors was finding Blitz sales very slow, especially since a US distributor was appointed. The discounts on the Srimok are, again, to shift stock thats sitting on the shelf - it's not a good time of the year to sell these niche helis (in fact, most helis!).

I'm guessing that Andy is rationalising stock, trying to stock fast selling lines. Andy asked me why I bought from other heli stockists, not having a go, just interested, and I told him that if I'm after spares, if he has the complete list he gets my order, if not then one of the other big online retailers that does have the stock will get my order as I don't want to pay two postage charges. It does sound as if Andy is taking some of this on board. I sincerley hope this is the case and that Real Raptors continue to grow in the future, I've always valued Andy's customer service and his readiness to chat and the more competition, the better for us all.

I agree with you entirely but it was just a shock to see the avro and parts disappear over night without warning.
For the record I have 2 Avros and I wish Real Raptors sucess - I will continue to use them - especially with their great prices.

This is an email I received from RealRaptors

Hi everyone

We would like to inform you all that Real Raptors will be closing. We do not
have a time frame for this, but think it is time to move on to other things.
The good news for you is that there have been and will continue to be some
very good offers for you, so be quick to grab a bargain as when they are
gone they will not be replaced!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your business
over the years; particularly those who have shown complete loyalty and
become good friends, including our sponsored pilot Mike Eddington, who we
wish the very best of luck to in the future.

Thank you all once again and hope you manage to grab a bargain.

Andy and Vicki

This statement is now on their site, so looks like there will be one less specialist heli store in the UK soon.
Shame, as they do a cracking service.
