My Blitz Avro

Hi, I am new to RCHA so i thought i would share a couple of pictures of my Blitz Avro.
I also wanted to ask am i missing the back part of the canopy and if so where i could get one?

Hey an Avro! The rear canopy section was an optional thing. The only place you can get them is from Blitz via their website [url=http://www.blitz-helicopters.eu/site/home.html]Blitz Helicopters, British designed and built Avro helicopter.[/url]

The rear section gives it a unique look but hides the drive belt and pulley which I kinda like the look of.

Thanks, i will take a look at the site if ever i get top finish work lol.....
i really like the look of it with the rear section on and makes it pop and stand out from the rest.

I take it they come unpainted?

Yeah they come unpainted. It's probably a longshot but there may be a red rear section out there somewhere that someone might sell as reds and oranges, yellow etc. seemed to be popular colours. I don't see many Avros these days. It's a very well designed and top quality airframe but with the heli world going FBL and mostly electric the Avro has pretty much been forgotten.

The plain canopies, back bits from blitz are quite rough looking .... look almost raw surfaces and will need some sort of filling and sanding before painting.
An option that may be worth exploring is dropping 'fusuno' an email. They may still have the moulds even though they don't show on their website - pretty sure back in the day they did do blitz canopies and in my experience (over a special spectra g canopy) they're customer service has been excellent.
Nice to see another blitz flier still about.

That's a good idea regarding Fusuno. I was not aware they used to make a canopy for the Avro.

There's nothing actually wrong with mine it's just that the engine in it now was quite underwhelming in performance and I miss the YS I had in it originally. I have a YS91ST that I got with a Robbe airframe and I need to get it out and clean it up, see what shape it's in etc. Either that or get a new piston, ring and liner for the SR from RCJapan.

I have a spare airframe I keep debating whether to keep or sell and with it I have a tomato red canopy that I would consider selling separately (the one on the left).
Here's what it looks like. It's hard to say what this rear section would look like with your canopy.
