Unfortunately retirement did not quite go to plan and changing life circumstances mean that I have had to decide what I want to focus on as my multitude of interests are conflicting; I will also have to 'downsize' house wise in a couple of years.
Considering RC helicopters and the web site is very time consuming and has taken thousands of hours already... It therefore comes down to writing about them or building and actually flying them (not flown for 18 months!!!!). I have chose the later but luckily someone has come forward who wishes to continue the VRHC web site and I am in discussions for achieving a handover...
Regarding the models, I have nearly 250 helicopters and cannot see ever building/restoring them all and the house move also means no room for them all; as a result, half at least will have to go. They were all boxed up ready for this years 'failed' house move so I am currently retrieving the boxes out of storage for sorting. I intend to split them into three groups
1. What I definitely / at the moment intend to keep for myself
2. What is definitely for going
3. What I may sell depending who its going to (also includes consideration for some in the first group...???)
The first group will be the UK models such as Morley's MM Larks, MFA etc plus all Electric helis' and the early models from the 70's all makes. The second group will be manufacturers, Kyosho, Kalt, MA, Bergen, Robbe, and my modern stuff such as the TT 109 etc. Third group will be Schluter, TSK and all the one off's...
It will take me a while to start listing machines and the ready built stuff will be first to go given a lot of heli's are stripped down and will need sorting to get back into selling condition.
Thanks to all the support over the years
Joe
