  • Maidened x50e

Got to quickly maiden my new build this morning before the heavens opened up. only had one pack charged so quickly installed them and powered her up. Rock steady straight away so really pleased with how it went. Just need some decent weather now :-) big thanks to Nick B for checking over the model yesterday :-)

Cool! If you get a moment (and have a scale) I am curious to know what the ready to fly weight is. I am getting ever so slightly closer to possibly buying a new 600 size electric heli. I'm leaning toward the Beam E6 but the new TTs do look nice.

Hi, not sure how accurate my scales are but I weighed myself, then with the heli, then got my wife to stand on the scales and with the heli and it weighs 6lbs or 2kg 721.55g. Sorry but this is without the batteries as they are charging. I can PM you the weight with these in tomorrow.

        Cheers

Thanks for the info. Depending on the size packs it sounds like it would be about another kilo-ish with batteries ready to go, so about 3.7/3.8kg in total, maybe a bit less with 2600 mah packs.

i'm using gens ace 3300 mAh in it if that helps.

              cheers

Yeah I was basing my rough guess on two Gens Ace 3300s, I think they are about 520 something grams each.

I have been using Gen Ace 2600s in a Hirobo SDX and the total weight is 4.2kg. I know it might sound like being super picky about these details but for me it's all about max flight times with the least weight because I have to carry everything to the field by hand on the trains.

                  Bet it rocks!

Can't wait to maiden my X50N TT FBL. It's as light as a feather, weighs nothing as Im sure your X50 E is.

I've enjoyed the build on this more than any previous heli, everything just fits and works. 1st flight today in rubbish weather and it felt so rock solid. You'll love this heli :-)
