difficult to diagnose from the description but Id start by looking at the engine and stack, make sure the clutch and hub have not come loose.
best bet drop the engine out take a look if its thatAll the best

I wondered if it was the clutch because when i put starter wand in and tried spinning it up it was like it wasnt fully engaged and just spinning round , so i stopped it and tried again and it then turned motor over , when i did get it started it sounded like a rattley bag of bolts , it flew okay with no worries on full tank of fuel so dont know ????Raptor 50 , raptor 30 , eflite blade 500 3d, blade 450 3d, spektrum dx7s,

on raptors they are known to strip the threads on the clutch bolts because the bolts are short. so something like that could have happened.
However if when its running its sounding like a bag of spanners it could be the engine bearings. do you know when they were last changed as they do have to be done after a number of gallons through themAll the best

Its a fairly new motor in it tbh , its only had 1 gallon of fuel through it , just been looking in manual and motor looks fairly easy to drop out so will have to have it out and check clutch i thinkRaptor 50 , raptor 30 , eflite blade 500 3d, blade 450 3d, spektrum dx7s,

If it was difficult to start and kept spinning without engaging the engine it could be the one way starter bearing or shaft.
The noise could be a loose clutch or main engine bearings. Was the engine run in properly from new? If not this may have caused damage to the bearings even over a short period of time.
If not this then the only option is to strip the whole thing down and part the frame. Looks worse than it actually is to do first time round.Last edited by Rob99; 22-03-2014, 10:24 PM.X50
